Right of Withdrawal

Your paid contract is concluded with Stripe as merchant of record; Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.), §§ 20–29, provides the framework.

Who you contracted with

Paid services on this site are sold through Stripe as merchant of record (Stripe Technology Europe, Limited). The contract of sale — and with it your right of withdrawal — is therefore with Stripe, not with Thalassa Consulting Kft. Stripe issues the invoice, collects the payment and accounts for the tax.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform the seller of your decision by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, the seller shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. The reimbursement is made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Early expiry for digital services

For one-time credit packages and immediately usable digital services, the right of withdrawal expires early once performance has begun after you (1) expressly consented to it starting before the end of the withdrawal period and (2) confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance — the exception in 45/2014. (II. 26.) Korm. rendelet, § 29. You will be asked for this consent explicitly during checkout — it is never assumed.
